At Northern Lights Drama we believe all young people should have access to drama and the creative arts, regardless of their social background or postcode. A big part of our work is collaborating with other local organisations to develop and deliver outreach projects for children across the region. Past projects have included working with the local voluntary sector, educational trusts, local authorities and social care providers. Transition Activities
We deliver AFTER-SCHOOL CLUBS in Drama, Dance and Musical Theatre for KS1 & KS2 pupils, led by our team of industry professionals who are passionate about nurturing local talent and inspiring young people to shine. Each year pupils work towards a spectacular showcase performed at the end of the Summer Term.
We also offer DRAMA WORKSHOPS for any curriculum topic, theme or book. Just let us know your topic or theme and we will create a fun and engaging drama workshop for your school. Half or full day workshops are available for KS1, KS2, KS3 & KS4 pupils.
Previous examples of workshops include Anti-bullying, The Vikings, Romeo & Juliet, The Egyptians, Clowning, Medieval Times and Space Exploration. Whatever you are studying, we can offer a workshop that suits your pupils. We also offer workshops, activities and performance-based projects that can be incorporated into a school’s transition programme for their local feeder schools.
Over the years Northern Lights Drama has built strong working relationships with local schools in Hull, East Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire, delivering after-school clubs, curriculum themed workshops, KS3 Drama Lessons and transition activities.
Northern Lights Drama is proud to be a DRET endorsed organisation providing enrichment opportunities and sharing our skills and expertise with pupils at David Ross Educational Trust schools.
