Meet The Team

All teachers are professionally trained in Acting, Dance or Musical Theatre and are D.B.S (The Disclosure and Barring Service) checked and approved. We also have a fantastic team of assistants who are there to help both pupils and teachers at all of our classes. Northern Lights Drama is on the approved list of Hull City Council providers and ERMOS registered.

First class is completely free!

Hello, I am Tilly and I am the Principal of Northern Lights Drama Theatre School. I originally started acting and dance lessons to help improve my confidence and self-esteem. I became a member of NYT and The Royal Ballet School associates programme up until being eighteen. I went on to train at Arts Ed (3 year BA HONS Acting) in London. I am delighted to be able to champion the next generation of local talent.

Hello! I’m Louise, I’ve been performing since a young age and have over 10 years teaching experience at stage schools and colleges up and down the country. I started out at the Northern Theatre Company in Hull and then trained at The London School of Musical Theatre, graduating in 2009 with distinction and have been working professionally ever since on both stage and screen all over the world.

My theatre credits include: Jan & understudy Rizzo in Grease (David Ian Productions/RCCL); Ensemble, Les Miserables (Grange Park Opera); Anne Saunderson, No Horizon (UK Tour); Lead Vocalist, Thoroughly Modern Musicals (Scarborough Spa); Bonny, The Lightless Pumpkin (ERT), Ensemble, Hope, (Bridewell Theatre, London); Baby the Musical (Baron’s Court Theatre, London) and last year I played Beth March in East Riding Theatres 2019 Christmas production of Little Women.

My screen credits include: Day Street; B- Negative, which can be seen on Amazon Prime; Alfie’s Story; The Broken Teeth of Lions.

I recently filmed the Sainsbury’s 2020 Christmas Commercial and this Christmas I’ll be performing as Susan in Hull Truck Theatre’s Christmas production of Prince Charming’s Christmas Cracker.

As I’m actively still working in the industry on both stage and screen I love that I am able to pass on my knowledge and advice to the younger generation and I’m so thrilled to be part of the NLD team!

Credits as an actor include: Nurse in YSHM Campaign (NHS), Frank in The Girl Who Touched the Stars (The Venue Theatre & Edinburgh), Fred in Feathered (Tour), Bouncer in School Documentary (Samaritans), Starkey in Peter Pan (The Ropery Hall & Edinburgh), Mark in A Little Piece of Heaven (Edinburgh) and Ensemble in Frank and Ferdinand (West Yorkshire Playhouse).

I am also the Artistic Director of Concrete Youth, a Hull-based theatre company, dedicated to touring exceptional multi-sensory theatre designed and performed, especially and exclusively for audiences with complex needs or PMLD, as well as providing excellent workshops and after-school clubs to local schools throughout Yorkshire and the Humber.

I completed my Undergraduate Degree in Drama in the Community at Bishop Grosseteste University, before going on to read my Master’s Degree in Theatre Making at the University of Hull.

I’m so happy to be part of the team and can’t wait to teach the talented stars of Northern Lights Drama Theatre School!

Hi, I’m Eloise and I’ve had a passion for Drama and Musical Theatre my whole life. I was exposed to the wonders of theatre at an early age, influenced by family members, who too, found their passion in the arts. As I grew older, I understood that I didn’t just enjoy the world of theatre, I aspired to be part of its diverse and artistic community. I recently completed my degree in Performance in Stage and Screen at Sheffield Hallam University and am so excited to be part of the Northern Lights Team!

Hi, I’m Annie, I’ve been performing since I was little and have been lucky enough to work all over the world, telling stories on stage. “Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living”, to quote Dr. Seuss, and this is exactly why I love my job.

I trained in Musical Theatre at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in Musical Theatre where I graduated with a First-Class Honours Degree in 2013. Since then, I’ve worked internationally with various companies including LAF in New Zealand and as part of the Festival of Cabaret in Mexico City.

I’m a founding member of She Productions, company in residence, at the East Riding Theatre in Beverley and have co-written and performed in shows such as MissCast, Beverley Does Broadway and The StorytEllas. Most recently, I was part of the writing team and cast of the first UK tour of It’s Different for Girls, inspired by Hull 1960’s girl-band Mandy & the Girlfriends.

I can’t wait to join the NLD team!
